METRO 21 TO BROADCAST EBRP LIBRARY BOARD MEETINGS

Metropolitan Councilwoman Alison Cascio, Library Director David Farrar and the East Baton Rouge Parish of Public Information announce today that starting in February, East Baton Rouge Parish Library Board Meetings will be covered by Metro 21. The Library Board Meetings will air each Friday starting at 9pm on Friday, February 18th.

Metro Councilwoman Alison Cascio says, “The Library System is an important part of our parish and this is an effort to keep the taxpaying public informed of the Library Board’s actions.” Library Board Director, David Farrar comments, "We are delighted that Metro 21 will begin airing the monthly meetings of the Library Board of Control. I want to thank Councilwoman Cascio for spearheading the project. This is an important step for the Library. We have changed rapidly over the past few years, and technological advances, new services, and new building projects continue to be important topics of discussion. Televising our monthly board meetings will greatly aid in communicating library issues, services, and programs directly to the general public. This will add one more layer of transparency to our operations and give the public one more way to hear about the excellent work of their public library system."
