Help the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank and Hope Ministries

Mayor-President Melvin “Kip” Holden is calling upon the community to step up and help the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank and Hope Ministries provide assistance in this time of extreme need.

“It has come to my attention that the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank is in critical need of food and funds to feed hundreds of people in our community,” Mayor Holden said Monday. “The Food Bank has seen an increase in need, especially within our senior population.”

The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank has consistently been there for the people of Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas, Mayor Holden said.

“We urgently need the community to respond to this crisis. From individuals to organizations to businesses, the message is, ‘We need you,’” the Mayor said. “Our community is known for its generosity in times of need. Our track record has proven this time and time again. You can assist by calling the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank at (225) 359-9940.”
