School System Transportation Department

Baton Rouge, La. – Starting today and ending August 17, the East Baton Rouge Parish School System’s Transportation Department has activated a field bank for phone calls from parents regarding their child’s or children’s bus route or routes for the 2012-2013 school year. The first day of school in the district is Wednesday, August 8.

Parents can call between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on week days to get student bus route information – times of pick ups and drop offs, school bus number assignments and more. That phone number is (225) 226-3660.

In addition, postcards were sent this week to students’ homes informing them of their bus number assignments, bus pick-up points, the time of pick ups and other information.
