CITY OF BATON ROUGE ANNOUNCES NEW STREAMING SERVICES

The City of Baton Rouge announces their newest webcast service, where citizens can watch the Metropolitan Council meetings live or on demand. Now, residents can view public meetings, at their convenience, and by using the new indexing service, viewers can go right to the agenda item of their interest and view the discussions. All Metropolitan Council Meetings and agendas will be archived for approximately three years on the website. The Information Services Department has been instrumental in keeping up with the latest technology offering ways to keep the public informed of issues related to City Government, by using social media and streaming services.

According to Public Information Officer, Dennis McCain, citizens can also watch Metro 21, the Government’s cable channel, live on-line, as well. Additionally, with the new streaming service, citizens can now watch meetings on the go! When a meeting is in session, simply click the link below on your Smartphone or tablet, including the iPad or iPhone.
