Department of Maintenance Over the past 6 months of 2019, The Department of Maintenance, Landscape Division has been developing its program to treat and manage the Invasive Ball Moss Species which is growing on trees along the City Streets, Boulevards and in the Downtown Areas. The Department is proactive in addressing Ball Moss growth which is now becoming more noticeable and beginning to spread throughout the City and Parish. DPW Drainage Division continues to clean and remove debris from storm drains, roadside ditches, outfalls and drainage canals. Click br311.gscend.com/qalert/ November 1, 2019 through February 10, 2020, the Drainage Maintenance Division cleaned 356 storm drains, removed debris and silt from 256 drainage canals, outfalls, and 147 roadside ditches. Additionally, Drainage Division repaired 171 Cave-ins and completed 30 Miscellaneous Projects such as bridge repairs and erosion issues. November 1, 2019, through February 10, 2020, the Landscape Maintenance Division closed out 119 Service Request for Mowing, 91 Tree Trimming & Removal Request, 79 Service Request for Street Sweeping and 254 Request for Debris Removal on Public Property.
