Department of Development The overall mission of Department of Development is to regulate building construction and development within East Baton Rouge Parish, in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local codes and zoning ordinances. The Department of Development “DOD” consists of three divisions: Neighborhood Revitalization; Permits & Inspections and Subdivision Engineering.
